Scott Weiland Voluntarily Enters Rehab Clinic

Velvet Revolver frontman Scott Weiland checked himself into a rehab facility following the band's show in Los Angeles on Wednesday, which forced the postponement of a show in San Diego the next night.
"Velvet Revolver deeply apologize to their fans and thank them for sticking by the group," said a short statement released by the band to confirm Weiland's status.
It's not yet known how this development will affect Velvet Revolver's five-show Australian tour, which is set to begin on Feb. 15. That tour was originally supposed to happen in December but was postponed due to Japanese visa problems.
Weiland has recently been making noise about Stone Temple Pilots reuniting for the first time since his former band broke up in 2002, but maybe that was just the drugs and booze talking.
Weiland was charged with driving under the influence of a drug after he was involved in a collision last November. Over the years, he's endured a number of drug busts, pleaded guilty to domestic violence charges against his wife, spent time in prison and was charged with DUI and hit-and-run on his birthday in 2003, for which he was ordered by the court to spend six months in a residential drug rehab centre.
