Palestinian-born, Ottawa-based Sens-sation Belly nabbed nominations for best new artist and rap recording for his album, The Revolution. In the first category, he's the likely frontrunner against Serena Ryder and Jeremy Fisher, among others. In the latter, the chart-topping rapper will probably be considered the favourite against the likes of Shad and Classified. The man who became a household name with the popularity of his Senators anthem "Go Sens Go" won the award for best bling at Tuesday morning's Junos media conference.

ChartAttack: Don't be modest, how do you feel about being nominated?
Belly: Aw, it feels great, man. I don't ever expect to be nominated, so whenever I get nominated it's a blessing, it's an honour.

What was your musical highlight of the last year?
Around this time last year I was on tour with Snoop. And that was definitely the highlight. Even though I saw a lot this year, I went gold this year, put out my album and everything — that was still the highlight.

Name something you'd do with your trophy other than put it on your mantle.
Wow, uh, I'm gonna probably spend the first six nights with it.

Just lovin' it?
Oh yeah, oh yeah.

Triumph are this year's Canadian Music Hall Of Fame inductees. What's your favourite Triumph song?
Wow, uh, I don't know, man.

Feist or Avril, who wins in a cage fight?
Oh, Avril. Avril's keyed up, man. She's gonna come at your throat.
