Celine Receives Six Juno Nominations, While Avril, Feist And Buble Get Five

Celine Dion's impressive four-year run of shows in Las Vegas ended in December, so now she can return to Canada to add to her Juno Award collection.
The Quebec diva received six Juno nominations at a media conference held at Toronto's Fairmont Royal York Hotel on Tuesday morning, adding to her almost unbelievable total of 53 previous nominations. She's closely followed in the trophy hunt by Avril Lavigne, Feist and Michael Buble, whose names were called five times.
Arcade Fire, Finger Eleven and Blue Rodeo received three nominations, while Jully Black, Wintersleep, Jeremy Fisher and Bedouin Soundclash were among those who got two.
Brampton, Ont. funny man Russell Peters will host the show, while Feist, Buble, Lavigne, Finger Eleven, Measha Brueggergosman and Anne Murray with two guests from her Duets: Friends & Legends album have been confirmed to perform. More lineup additions will be announced.
Lavigne, Dion, Buble, Claude Dubois and Nelly Furtado are all up for the Juno Fan Choice Award, and you can vote online for your favourite at Doritos.ca or junos.ctv.ca, or text your vote to 777 777 beginning on Wednesday.
The three members of Triumph recently announced that they had put their longtime differences behind them and will reform. Their timing couldn't be better, since they'll be inducted into the Canadian Music Hall Of Fame during the Juno weekend. Music television pioneer Moses Znaimer will receive the Walt Grealis Special Achievement Award in honour of his contributions to the music industry and country star Paul Brandt will be the inaugural recipient of the Allan Waters Humanitarian Award for his philanthropic and charitable work.
The Juno Awards will be presented at Calgary's Pengrowth Saddledome, and carried live by CTV, on April 6.
