Massachusetts metalcore band All That Remains will join Chimaira and Divine Heresy on a North American tour that begins on Thursday and includes stops next month in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver.
All That Remains vocalist Phil Labonte says he can't wait to return to play in Canada.
"It's really fortunate that we get love from such a large group of people. Going there can be tough, but once you get there it's awesome. People don't understand how difficult it is, and I think in Canada, specifically in western Canada, that a lot of times there's such a large distance between each population that they really do appreciate when we come there. They understand how difficult it can be just to get around and just to cover those kinds of distances, especially when the weather's bad."
Almost every All That Remains show in Toronto has been at a sold-out Opera House, including the last time with Gwar. This time around they'll hit larger venues.
"The music goes in cycles," Labonte explains. "Nowadays metal is more acceptable, and there's way more hot chicks at shows than there was before.
"When fuckin' Korn was the big band before in nu-metal, girls were all dressed stupid and ugly. And now that Korn and that style of music isn't the specific style of metal, chicks look better and they dress better. All that stupid baggy shit looked dumb."
Labonte hopes to see hordes of hot chicks at these Canadian shows:
