Feist, Arcade Fire And Stars Make Final 10 For Shortlist Music Prize

 Feist

Feist's The Reminder, Arcade Fire's Neon Bible and Stars' In Our Bedroom Room After The War are among the 10 finalists for the seventh annual Shortlist Music Prize.

The three albums were on the initial long list of 54 nominated records released in the U.S. from January through November of last year that hadn't been certified gold for domestic sales of 500,000 units. The finalists were chosen by Snow Patrol's Gary Lightbody, The Killers' Ronnie Vannucci, CMJ's Rev. Moose, KCRW DJ Chris Douridas and the hosts of Hunnypot Internet Radio.

While nine countries were represented on the long list, acts from five nations made the final cut: three each from Canada and the U.S., two from the U.K., one from France and one from Sri Lanka.

The winner, who won't receive a cash prize this year, will be announced next month. The six previous Shortlist winners are Sigur Ros, N*E*R*D, Damien Rice, TV On The Radio, Sufjan Stevens and Cat Power.
