Will The Oasis Vs. Blur Rivalry Be Played Out On TV Game Show?

Who's the weakest link amongst Brit-pop bands?
If British Broadcasting System programmers get their wish, you'll be able to find out. According to Britain's Daily Star newspaper, the state-run company is trying to get some of England's best-known musicians of the past decade to go head-to-head on the game show The Weakest Link and renew hostilities that sprouted up in the mid-'90s.
Among the potential contestants that have apparently been asked to appear on the program are Oasis' Liam and Noel Gallagher (who's said to be a Weakest Link fan), Blur's Damon Albarn and Alex James, Suede's Brett Anderson, Elastica's Justine Frischmann, Pulp's Jarvis Cocker, Manic Street Preachers' James Dean Bradfield, Supergrass' Gaz Coombes and Shed Seven's Rick Witter.
"It's been over a decade since this lot have even been in the same room as each other," a BBC source told the paper. "It's sure to ignite old rivalries, which would be TV gold."
