Snoop Dogg And David Beckham Slip Into Something Comfortable

The ever-entrepreneurial Snoop Dogg has a rather unlikely new product he wants to hawk, and his apparent partner in the venture may also raise some eyebrows. The rapper says that British soccer star David Beckham will join him in releasing a line of slippers.
"I got David a pair of slippers as a present, and he took a picture of him wearing them and sent it to me," says Snoop on Britain's FemaleFirst website. "I was like, 'They look cool!'
"We are talking about making a slipper together. So when I stop rapping and he stops playing soccer we can kick back and slip on a house shoe."
Snoop's other business ventures include hot dogs and pet products, so the slippers will be his first project without an obvious canine connection.
Snoop's friendship with Beckham initially flustered the Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder's wife, Victoria Beckham (a.k.a. Posh Spice), because she was concerned with the hip-hop star's reputation and frequent legal problems. But he told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper that the Spice Girl has now changed her mind.
"I met Victoria one time, at the Live 8 concert in 2005. She didn't like me much — she didn't like my bad boy persona. All she knew was, 'Snoop Dogg's a bad guy. I don't want my husband dealing with him — he's going to rub off on my husband.'
"But now she's seen my show, and I think I'm cool with her now that she knows I'm family orientated — that I have a structure and a wife. Now she knows I'm a great person to rub off on her husband.
"But Victoria's the boss-lady in that relationship — that's just how it is!"
The Beckhams have made a few friends since moving to L.A., and we'd much rather have Snoop Dogg rub off on them than Tom Cruise.
