Marilyn Manson's Divorce Is Official, But He's Still Battling Former Bandmate

Marilyn Manson can now officially close the door on one soured relationship, but another lives on in court.
The marriage of the pasty-faced rocker (real name Brian Warner) and burlesque dancer/model Dita Von Teese (real name Heather Sweet) officially ended on Dec. 27 after Von Teese cited irreconcilable differences in filing for divorce a year ago after a marriage that lasted a year. The terms of their settlement weren't disclosed in the judgment filed in Los Angeles Superior Court.
Manson has moved on to a relationship with young actress Evan Rachel Wood, while Von Teese continues to occupy the fantasies of Chart's managing editor.
Meanwhile, Manson has filed a breach of contract countersuit against former bandmate Madonna Wayne Gacy (real name Stephen Bier, but he sometimes calls himself Pogo), claiming that he didn't carry out obligations to take part in master recordings, concerts and selling group merchandise.
Gacy/Bier filed a $20-million U.S. breach of contract suit against Manson/Warner in August, claiming that he didn't receive money owed to him because the singer spent it on such things as Nazi memorabilia and taxidermy. The keyboardist was part of the band from 1989 until just before recording began for last year's Eat Me, Drink Me. He claims that he was promised "partnership proceeds" from the group in 1993.
The absinthe connoisseur claims that the pair's business relationship was dissolved in 1996 after he became the clear leader of the band that bears his stage name. His suit says that Bier has been paid for CD royalties, performances and merchandising, but that he showed up late for recording sessions, concerts and promotional appearances, and gave confidential band information to the media and other people without his consent. He's seeking unspecified general and special damages and a court order that prevents Bier from releasing more confidential group information.
