Fall Out Boy's Patrick Stump Gets Grilled On Law & Order

Fall Out Boy's Patrick Stump

Bassist Pete Wentz seems to get most of the attention and camera time in Fall Out Boy, but singer/guitarist Patrick Stump will get his turn in the spotlight when he appears in an episode of NBC's long-running crime drama, Law & Order.

The program (titled Darkness) was originally going to air in February, but it has been moved up to Jan. 2 as part of a two-hour premiere of the show's 18th season.

Stump portrays a low-level office employee named Marty Dressler who becomes a prime suspect when the wife and daughter of a top executive are kidnapped and a housekeeper is murdered. Dressler has two scenes in the police interrogation room where he's questioned by detectives Ed Green (Jesse L. Martin) and Cyrus Lupo (Jeremy Sisto).

While Stump is a Law & Order fan and enjoyed the role, he doesn't expect to turn his back on music and become a thespian."We go off and do our fun little things, but [Fall Out Boy] is always our main focus," Stump told MTV News.
