The Populars Have A Pill For Everyone On Next Album

The Populars

Prescott, Ont. roots rock band The Populars will prescribe a musical cure with A Pill For Everyone early next year.

According to a recent blog post on the band's MySpace page, the Moe Berg-produced follow-up to The Vindicator will be in stores on Apr. 22. A digital version will be made available online on Jan. 22.

"This means that it will have taken us a year and a half to complete this project," the group wrote. "Who do we think we are, Reo Speedwagon? Anyway we are super excited with it and can't wait to get back to where we belong, out on the effin road to see you!"

The group have posted "Can You Keep A Secret," "Weekend Warrior," "I Feel Better Now" and "Good News" on their MySpace page.

A Pill For Everyone is The Populars' first record with bassist Ben Wilson, who joined the band in May 2006.

"i knew his talents were formidable but he brings a whole new level to the attack," the group wrote on their official site last month.

Although no tour dates in support of A Pill For Everyone have been announced, the band expect to launch a cross-country tour sometime next year. Populars singer/guitarist Dave Klym and drummer Ernie Basiliadis were previously members of Mike Plume's backing band before branching out on their own.
