Thor Set To Show His Championship Form On Into The Noise

The almighty Thor has won almost every bodybuilding title known to mere mortals, so it's no surprise that he'll be part of Saturday's "Night Of The Champions" at Vancouver's Backstage Lounge.
The steel-bending Jon Mikl Thor will perform songs from his forthcoming Into The Noise album on a potentially life-changing bill that also includes Saints Collapse, The Anger! The Power! The Fury! And The Filth!, Jennifer Doll's Rock 'N' Roll Burlesque and guest appearances by Joe "Shithead" Keithley and The Imps frontman Frank Soda, among others.
The show will act as the launch party for Into The Noise, even though it's already available digitally and won't be released on CD until Jan. 9 by Keithley's Sudden Death label in association with Fathom Records.
Into The Noise was produced by Jared Richter at Zero Gravity Studios in Boca Raton, Fla. The album features contributions from Mike Kischnick and Steve Price, who can either be applauded or blamed for the three-minute guitar solo on "Berserker."
"Into The Noise is basically a concept album where the band goes on a journey to the centre of the mind, of noise," says Thor, while casually slipping in an Amboy Dukes reference.
"They come across all these alternate characters and creatures like The Sound King."It's a quest. Like in the song 'Back For More,' it's about coming back to rise up again and do battle again. Sometimes you have to retreat when you get overwhelmed or defeated, but then you regain your strength and go back in. So we're heading back into the noise."
A video for album opener "Thor's Revenge" is in the post-production stage.
Here are the songs on Into The Noise:
"Thor's Revenge"
"Evil Twin"
"Berserker"
"Into The Noise"
"Warrior's Reprise"
"Fight For You"
"Sound King"
"If Tomorrow Never Comes"
"No Guts No Glory"
"Escape Or Die"
"Back For More"
