Lily Allen Defends Weight Loss And Wants To Live With Chickens

Quotable British songstress Lily Allen has spoken to the media about her recent weight loss, and insists that it was for health reasons and not to fit in with other super-thin starlets.
Allen told the British press that she was so shocked after being diagnosed with a heart murmur three months ago (even though most are relatively harmless) that she immediately decided to tone down her hard-partying lifestyle and try to get fit.
"I have been asthmatic all my life, but this was really quite scary," Allen said in a World Entertainment News Network report. "When they asked me how much exercise I did, I had to be honest and say hardly any."
The daughter of actor Keith Allen hired a personal trainer and has apparently lost about 10 kilograms and dropped three dress sizes in six weeks.
Allen, who has cultivated a bit of a wild-child, anti-establishment reputation, wants to make sure that her fans don't think she lost the weight to try and emulate other diminutive pop stars.
"I really want to stress that I haven't done this because I want to be some skinny minnie — I will never be like that," the star told Grazia magazine.
Allen also announced that she'd like to retire after releasing one more album in order to move to the country and focus on more important things, like having a family and living in the country with chickens and pigs.
"I just want to make some money — maybe I could retire at 25," the 22 year old says.
Allen is dating The Chemical Brothers' Ed Simmons. He better treat her well, lest he be the subject of derision in one of her songs like past boyfriends have.
