Amy Winehouse: Hamster Slayer, Devoted Wife, Or Both?

Amy Winehouse

Amy Winehouse has been coming under fire for a lot of things over the past few months, so why not add one more accusation to the list?

The sultry-voiced, skinny-bodied singer is alleged to have killed a pet hamster named Georgie Porgie that belonged to Peter Pepper, the singer of British band Palladium, during a late-night party at his girlfriend's house last year.

"I'd been to bed, but Amy had stayed up and was still going strong and had drunk the drinks cabinet dry," Pepper said in a World Entertainment News Network report.

"The next thing I know, [the hamster] bites me, runs off and Amy says she'll catch it... But I went to put a plaster on my finger and by the time I came back, Amy said she's put it to bed and it was sleeping. But just hours later the hamster was stone cold and hard. I don't know what she did to it."

If Winehouse can murder a tiny rodent, there's no telling what else she might be capable of, which explains why Pepper didn't confront her about what happened.

"I've never directly accused her of killing my hamster, as I'm too scared," he explained. "She can be quite fierce."

Winehouse's husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, better hope that he's just as intimidating if he doesn't want to become some bloke's bitch, because he's going to have to stay in prison until Jan. 18. Fielder-Civil was denied bail at a court appearance on Friday and must remain incarcerated in London, England's Pentonville Prison for two more months until he returns to court to enter a plea on charges of perverting the course of justice. He allegedly bribed a bartender who he was accused of assaulting to withdraw his police statement regarding the incident and leave the country.

Winehouse was in the courtroom to hear the judge's ruling and blew kisses and mouthed words to her hubby. How romantic.
