Rob Zombie Planning Busy Year

Rob Zombie

Shock rocker Rob Zombie has big plans for the new year, although it will be hard to top one in which he stormed the box office with his re-imagining of the classic 1978 horror film Halloween, put out a live album and embarked on a North American tour with metal legend Ozzy Osbourne.

A few of the projects that he has in the works are a live DVD to accompany his recently released Zombie Live album, a box set featuring the complete works of his former band White Zombie, and his newest flick, the animated comedy adventure, The Haunted World of El Superbeasto. That movie features the voice talents of Paul Giamatti, Geoffrey Lewis and Zombie's wife, Sheri Moon. The live DVD has been delayed because the chosen editor for that project is currently hard at work editing a documentary of the making of Zombie's version of Halloween.

Zombie says that the DVD won't just be an amalgam of live footage, but more of a documentary look at his tour, similar to what he did for the DVD release of his film, The Devil's Rejects.

Zombie told VH1.com that his next feature film won't be a horror movie, and that any development plans for it have been put on indefinite hold due to the Writers Guild Of America strike.

You can catch Zombie live with Osbourne at these Canadian dates:

Jan. 16 Montreal, QC @ Bell Centre

Jan. 21 Toronto, ON @ Air Canada Centre
