Lily Allen May Get Ravaged By Daleks

Cheeky pop star Lily Allen is rumored to be entering the Whoniverse.
No offense to Billie Piper, but this is clearly the coolest Doctor Who-related music news since those wacky kids in The KLF released their bitchin' "Doctorin' The Tardis" single back in '88 under the guise "The Timelords."
According to The Sun, the singer behind hits like "Smile" is set to join the cast of the the popular BBC TV series as The Doctor's new companion, following in the footsteps of Catherine Tate, Freema Agyeman and fellow pop tart, the afore-mentioned Piper.
"We've talked to her and she was excited by the idea," an unnamed source told the tabloid. "Billie used Doctor Who for her transition from music to acting. We think Lily can emulate that."
Allen should be no stranger to television by the time the current companion, Catherine Tate, is ready to pass on her keys to the Tardis. Allen recently signed on to host a show on BBC Three, set to debut early next year. The fan-friendly show, still waiting for a title, is expected to feature audiences culled directly from Allen's MySpace friends list and will even allow those audience members to present segments of the episodes. On top of that, fans will also get to select unsigned bands to perform on the show.
The Sun's source seems to think she'll jump right from one program to the other.
"After the chat show we hope she'll take over from Catherine as Doctor Who's new assistant."
So far, there's been no word on when or how the budding small screen star plans to fit the making and/or playing of music into her busy television schedule. Exterminate.
