Amy Winehouse Stands By Her Man In Court (With Pete Doherty Cameo)

After being arrested on charges of perverting the course of justice, Blake Fielder-Civil, husband of troubled singer Amy Winehouse, was denied bail and ordered to remain in custody until Nov. 23.
Winehouse is reported to have sobbed and mouthed "I love you" to her hubby as they led him out of London's Thames Magistrates Court after he was remanded in custody during a hearing on Nov. 11.
A distraught Winehouse told reporters outside the courthouse, "I can't believe this is happening. I will stand by my man." To which the world replied with a collective, "huh?"
The question has always been more of a when, not if, one of these two would end up in jail.
In a show of solidarity, Babyshambles frontman Pete Doherty was also in the gallery at the Magistrates court to support friend Fielder-Civil. Doherty also brought Fielder-Civil a set of emergency clothes to the police station after his arrest. As fellow tabloid-fodder and a frequent guest himself at Magistrates court, perhaps Doherty was no doubt hoping his own pristine reputation would reflect well on Fielder-Civil in his times of trouble.
Fielder-Civil was originally arrested on charges of grievous bodily harm after the alleged assault of barkeeper James King in June of this year. The trial for those charges was due to begin Nov. 12, but has been delayed in light of the more recent arrests.
The more recent charges of perverting the course of justice relate to an alleged attempt by Fielder-Civil and his friend Michael Brown to bribe King into refusing to testify at the trial.
Additional reports have also surfaced of Winehouse's disastrous interview for American music magazine Blender last month, during which she fell asleep three times. Interviewer Jody Rosen reported that the singer looked disturbingly frail, slurred throughout the interview and was virtually unintelligible the entire time. Winehouse's reps responded that the singer was taking prescription medications that make her drowsy.
