Rafter Will Float His Sex Death Cassette In January

Alt.folk-pop-rock artist Rafter Roberts will release his second solo album under his first name through Sufjan Stevens' Asthmatic Kitty label on Jan. 22.
The 19-track Sex Death Cassette is the follow-up to Music For Total Chickens, which came out in January. Another record called 10 Songs, which was recorded in 1998, was released as a digital download and through the Asthmatic Kitty web store in September 2006.
Roberts previously teamed up with Emily Joyce and other musicians from his adopted hometown of San Diego to record a pop-punk album titled Born To Be A Motorcycle under the name Bunky. He has a company called Singing Serpent that creates advertising jingles and a studio where he's recorded, engineered or mastered material by The Fiery Furnaces, Black Heart Procession, Hot Snakes, Castanets, Rocket From The Crypt, The Rapture, Rogue Wave and many others.
