New Simple Plan Single Coming Next Monday

 Simple Plan

It's taken too long for most fans, but Simple Plan will finally release the first single from their next album on Oct. 29.

"When I'm Gone" will premiere as part of a live video event on the band's website next Monday at 6 p.m. EDT. The Montreal pop-punk group will reveal details about their forthcoming third studio LP, which is due in stores on Jan. 29 via Lava/Atlantic. Fans will also be able to ask the band members questions, and we suggest you start by inquiring about the still unrevealed title of the new album.

"When I'm Gone" will be delivered digitally to radio stations immediately following the webcast and will go on sale on iTunes at the same time. The song will be available from other digital download retailers the next day.

Simple Plan worked with producers Dave Fortman (Evanescence, Mudvayne), Danjahands (T.I., Justin Timberlake) and Max Martin (Avril Lavigne, James Blunt) on the studio follow-up to 2004's quadruple-platinum Still Not Getting Any. Their total album sales exceed six million worldwide.

Singer Pierre Bouvier, lead guitarist Jeff Stinco, bassist/backing vocalist David Desrosiers, guitarist/backing vocalist Sebastien Lefebvre and drummer Chuck Comeau will perform a series of holiday-themed concerts throughout December and will spend much of next year on the road in support of the new disc. No dates have yet been announced.
