Keane have donated an exclusive track titled "The Night Sky" to raise funds for War Child Canada's humanitarian programs.

The single will be made available by digital download sites on Oct. 30 along with two other tracks: a cover of the Queen/David Bowie collaboration "Under Pressure;" and the Ffrisco mix of "Put It Behind You Now" from their 2004 debut, Hopes And Fears. All money raised will go to War Child Canada.

"We are very proud to be patrons of War Child," says singer Tom Chaplin. "One child dies every three minutes because of armed conflict, and all of us can do something about it.

"War Child does something quite extraordinary and unique in helping to make the lives of future generations better. We hope everyone wants to be a part of that."

"The Night Sky" tells a tale of war-torn devastation from a child's perspective. It was produced by Keane and Andy Green. A video directed by Corin Hardy will also be available.

Keane will perform two U.K. concerts in support of War Child, in Manchester on Oct. 31 and in London the next evening.

The English piano-rock band will release the Keane Live DVD, filmed at London's O2, on Nov. 13.

Hopes And Fears has sold more than 100,000 copies in Canada, while its Under The Iron Sea follow-up has moved more than 50,000. Keane began working with War Child in 2004. The organization implements humanitarian programs in war-torn communities around the world, focusing on vulnerable children and families in emergency and post-conflict areas and providing health, education, livelihood training and psychosocial support.
