Lenny Kravitz Leads List Of Performers Involved In Grey Cup Events

Lenny Kravitz will headline the halftime show for the 95th Grey Cup game at Toronto's Rogers Centre on Nov. 25.
Kravitz will likely preview material from It Is Time For A Love Revolution — his eighth studio album, but first in more than three years — which will be released by Virgin/EMI on Feb. 5.
While football fans who attend the game or watch it on television can decide whether to catch Kravitz or get another beer, the 43-year-old musician isn't the only musical entertainment option for people taking part in the festivities leading up to the big game.
The four-day Grey Cup Festival will be concentrated in Toronto's downtown core, with its headquarters located at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Front and Bremner streets will be closed during the festival to host a licensed area and live music and entertainment, though no acts have yet been named.
While various events will take place during the day, Canadian classic rockers Loverboy, April Wine, Trooper and David Wilcox will hook up with CFL cheerleaders on the convention centre stage on Nov. 22. Trailer Park Boys, Hinder and Thornley will do the same the next evening, while Blue Rodeo perform at the Trish Stratus-hosted CN Tower Celebrity Party. Great Big Sea, Spirit Of The West, The Lowest Of The Low and Emerson Drive will play the convention centre the next night. More information is available on the Grey Cup website.
Barenaked Ladies and Spirit Of The West will play a ticketed pre-game tailgate party at the convention centre on Sunday.
