Bedouin Soundclash Sing Street Gospels Across Canada

Bedouin Soundclash

Kingston, Ont. trio Bedouin Soundclash are heading across Canada for an eight-city tour in support of Street Gospels, which was released in August.

Street Gospels was recorded in Toronto and New York City with producer and Bad Brains bassist Darryl Jenifer. The Beastie Boys' Money Mark played piano, Alexisonfire's Wade MacNeil contributed vocals and guitar, and The Maytones' Vernon Buckley added vocals on a few tracks.

First single "Walls Fall Down" has received heavy play on radio stations across Canada and "1259 Lullaby" was featured on the hit ABC television series, Grey's Anatomy.

The band, who formed in 2001 while the members were students at Queen's University in Kingston, are named after Israeli fusion artist and producer Badawi's 1996 homage to Arabia's nomadic Bedouin tribe. Bedouin Soundclash's previous album was 2004's breakout success Sounding A Mosaic, which included the hit single "When The Night Feels My Song."
