Edwin, Crush Luther, Marble Index And Others To Rock For AIDS Relief

The Paragon Muzik Fest will take over Toronto from Oct. 18 to 25 for its "Rocking For AMREF" fundraiser, featuring the likes of former I Mother Earth frontman Edwin, Crush Luther, The Marble Index and other indie talent from across Canada.
The festival will feature music from a variety of genres, with individual singer/songwriter, metal and indie showcases scattered over the week. The artists will perform to help raise funds for the African Medical And Research Foundation (AMREF), which was founded in 1957 by three surgeons who were determined to bring basic medical care to the 80 per cent of Africans who lived beyond the reach of existing medical facilities. With the onset of the AIDS crisis in Africa, one of AMREF's main goals has become raising awareness about the disease and its dire effects.
Tickets for the festival range from $10 to $20 for various nights. Wristbands for all 10 concerts are available for $30.
