Queen Rock Montreal Hits Theatres Before DVD Release

Queen fans unite. Queen Rock Montreal will premiere at 53 Cineplex Entertainment theatres across Canada on Oct. 17.

The 1981 concert was shot at the Montreal Forum and includes renditions of "We Will Rock You," "Somebody To Love," "Under Pressure," "Crazy Little Thing Called Love," "Bohemian Rhapsody" and other hits.

The Queen Rock Montreal DVD is set for release on Oct. 30 via Eagle Rock Entertainment. A special two-disc edition, Queen Rock Montreal + Live Aid, will come out the same day and include Queen's 1985 Live Aid performance and previously unseen rehearsal footage and interviews.

Cineplex is also holding a Freddie Mercury look-alike contest. Whoever looks most like the singer at the premieres, as determined by audiences, will win Queen prizes. So start growing that moustache and looking for tight Spandex.

Tickets cost $9.95 plus tax and are available on the Cineplex website, where you can also find a list of participating theatres.
