City And Colour, Finger Eleven And Others Pay Tribute To Neil Young

City And Colour

Neil Young's songs have been covered by a wide range of artists over the past 40 years, and another tribute album to the Canadian singer, songwriter and musician will come out on Oct. 16.

Borrowed Tunes Two is a two-CD compilation of Canadian artists singing their favourite Young tracks. The set was produced by Big Bold Sun Music's Mike Roth, who co-produced the original Borrowed Tunes Young tribute with Gary Furniss in 1994. The 36-track album raised more than $200,000 for charity.

Profits from the Universal Music Canada-distributed album will be donated to the Bridge School, which was co-founded near San Francisco by Young's wife Pegi Young to help children with severe speech and physical problems, and to Toronto's Safehaven Project For Community Living, which aids youngsters with similar ailments.
