The Hylozoists Take A Break From Recording For Tour

The Hylozoists

Canadian instrumental collective The Hylozoists are pumped to hit the road again with their orchestral pop sounds after a summer of playing outdoor festivals.

The tour kicks off this Saturday in London, Ont. at the second annual London Ontario Live Arts (LOLA) Festival, a free, three-day event featuring 40 other acts, including Constantines, Brian Eno, Meligrove Band, Prefuse 73 and Wooden Stars. The next stop will be Vancouver for the first date of their western Canada jaunt with The Besnard Lakes on Sept. 27.

The Hylozoists re-released their out-of-print debut, La Nouvelle Gauche, at the end of July through Boompa Records. The group's second album, La Fin Du Monde, was released in June 2006. They're working on their third album, L'Ile Des Sept Villes, which should be out next spring.

Hylozoism is the belief that all material objects possess life. Now you know.
