The sales results are in from the world's three biggest English-language music markets, and Kanye West has swept 50 Cent in their much-hyped competition to see whose hip-hop album would move the most units in their first week in stores.

West's Graduation debuted at #1 and sold more than 54,000 copies in Canada, according to Nielsen SoundScan, outdistancing 50 Cent's second-place Curtis by about 8,000 units.

South of the border, Graduation came out on top with sales of 957,000, with the record from the man born Curtis Jackson falling in behind with 691,000.

In the U.K., Graduation and Curtis ranked one-two.

Fiddy cancelled performances at the MOBO Awards and Vodafone Live Music Awards in London, England after the British results were announced.

The 31-year-old rapper had vowed not to put out any more solo albums if Graduation outsold Curtis. Now all we can do is wait and hope that he's a man of his word.
