Fred Durst Pleads No Contest To Seven Charges

Fred Durst

Limp Bizkit singer Fred Durst has pleaded no contest to seven misdemeanour charges filed against him after he hit two people with his car last October.

The charges, filed against Durst in January, include two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, three counts of battery, making a criminal threat and reckless driving, according to Superior Court documents obtained by celebtv.com.

After entering a no contest plea on Aug. 16, Durst was given a suspended 120-day jail sentence, ordered to perform 20 hours of community service and fined $1,500 U.S.

A restraining order against Durst was granted to the two victims, whose names weren't disclosed. He must stay at least 91 metres away from them at all times and cannot "annoy, harass, strike, threaten or otherwise disturb the peace" of the victims. The restraining order also bans Durst, 37, from possessing a firearm.
