C'Mon Bottle Lightning On Latest Release

C'Mon aren't known for holding anything back, so perhaps there's a bit of irony in titling their third full-length Bottled Lightning (Of An All Time High).

The typically hard-driving rock record was produced by the band and recorded at four Toronto studios by Jay Sadlowski, Dean Marino, Daryl Smith, Bernard Maiezza and Jon Drew. It was mixed by Smith and mastered by Drew.

Singer/guitarist Ian Blurton (Change Of Heart, Bionic, Blurtonia), his girlfriend and bassist/vocalist Katielynn Campbell (Nashville Pussy) and drummer Dean Dallas Bentley received some classy string assistance on the album from cellists Anne Bourne and Nick Storring, violinists Owen Pallett and Julie Penner and violist Mika Posen.

Bottled Lightning became available as a download from Zunior.com this week, while a limited-edition purple and silver vinyl version with a silk-screened cover and free download will be released by Saved By Vinyl and a CD with a silk-screened gatefold cover will be issued by Blown Speaker on Sept. 21.

C'Mon have crossed Canada three times since January 2004. Their fourth major journey stretches from Toronto to Newfoundland and back again. Here are their dates:
