Bend Sinister To Be First Band On Distort's Online Label

Distort will launch its new digital-only label with a self-titled EP from Vancouver's Bend Sinister on Sept. 4.
"Many of the bigger digital services do not enter into individual deals with bands,†explains Distort Digital president Greg Below.
"Distort has an established relationship with outlets such as iTunes and can explore opportunities for digital sales.
"Then we can invest more time and energy into bands who show potential and create a buzz."
Bend Sinister, which formed seven years ago, will embark on a CBC Radio 3-sponsored Canadian tour next month in support of the EP and its single/video, "Time Breaks Down." During their trip, the group will film a documentary on what it's like for an independent band to play across the country.
