Toronto's Virgin Festival Adds K-OS, Dragonette And Others

Toronto's Virgin Festival has added a fourth stage and 13 more acts to the roster of the Sept. 8 and 9 event.
K-OS, Dragonette, The Wildbirds, The Most Serene Republic, Hayley Sales, The Vincent Black Shadow, Spectrum, Bang Camaro and Sybris have joined the first-day lineup, while The Heights, The Red Romance, Liam & Me and The Postage Stamps are the additions for day two.
These acts join the recently added Louis XIV, Dirty Vegas, Birds Of Wales and M.A.N.D.Y., as well as headliners The Smashing Pumpkins, Bjork, The Killers and Interpol. Metric, Arctic Monkeys, Paolo Nutini, Stars and MIA are among the many other acts on the bill.
Amy Winehouse has pulled out while she either recovers from exhaustion or tries to wean herself off drugs.
One slot remains open for the festival. It will go to the winner of the ContraBand contest, for which voting continues at Heavy.com.
The final festival schedule will be announced on Sept. 4.
