Amy Winehouse Hospitalized After Suspected Drug Overdose

Amy Winehouse was briefly hospitalized in London, England on Wednesday, and NME.com is reporting that she may have had a drug overdose.
According to the website, the "Rehab" singer "was given an adrenaline shot and had her stomach pumped" after "collapsing from a suspected drugs overdose." Other media outlets reported that Winehouse was treated for "severe exhaustion" and released from hospital with orders to "take complete rest." Winehouse performed at both Lollapalooza in Chicago and the V Fest in Baltimore on the weekend.
The rising British star, who's just been nominated for three MTV Video Music Awards, has cancelled her appearance at the Oya music festival in Oslo, Norway this weekend as well as a performance in Denmark.
The Oya website posted this message about Winehouse's cancellation:
"The news of the cancellation came abruptly and surprisingly upon us a little before 1pm. Winehouse's large crew arrived and her backing band had just finished their sound check when we were notified. So far no reason has been stated."
Winehouse has a history of gig cancellations, and recently pulled out of Scotland's T In The Park festival and Liverpool, England's Summer Pops. It's unknown if she'll be able to perform at V Fest shows in Chelmsford and Staffordshire, England on Aug. 18 and 19.
Meanwhile, Gigwise.com reports that Winehouse has accepted an invitation to appear in an upcoming episode of The Simpsons where she'll meet Lisa Simpson in a blues bar.
