Fans of singer/songwriter Kathleen Edwards will have to wait a little while longer for the follow-up to 2005's Back To Me.

According to a recent post on Edwards' website, she hopes the album will be out sometime in February.

"I apologize if it has taken a long time to get my shit together, but I plan on being on the road for a long time come the new year and have needed some time to live a normal life," Edwards wrote.

Regarding the album, which is being produced by Jim Scott, Edwards wrote that she recorded some strings for the record in late July and performed in a string quartet.

"I haven't read music since high school I think and was a bit nervous and intimidated, but very proud to be doing that stuff on this record."

One of the tunes to make the final cut is "Asking For Flowers," which Edwards calls "one of the strongest songs I've ever written." It's unknown what other songs will make the album, although Edwards has been performing some unreleased material in concert, including "The Cheapest Key" and "I Make The Dough But You Get The Glory." A song dedicated to the late Alicia Ross, who was murdered in Toronto in 2005, is also a possibility.

Edwards has also been working at a winery in Ontario's Niagara region recently, doing what she calls "very glamorous bottling, labeling, boxing and 'tasting.'"
