AFI's Havok And Puget Go Electronic With Blaqk Audio

AFI's Davey Havok and Jade Puget first discussed releasing an album together that veered more toward electronic music than their full-time group's pop-punk sound four years ago, but it's taken them until now to see it to completion.
The duo call themselves Blaqk Audio, and their CexCells debut will be issued by Interscope on Aug. 14. Havok wrote the lyrics and sings, while Puget wrote the music and plays keyboards and synthesizers while adding programming and backing vocals.
Both men helped record the album with producer Dave Bascombe (Depeche Mode, Erasure), who mixed it. Tiger Army's Nick 13 added background vocals.
Lead single "Stiff Kittens" has been serviced to radio and can be downloaded from iTunes.
Havok and Puget have also been working on new AFI songs and hope to have an EP ready by the end of the year.
Here are the songs on CexCells:
"Stiff Kittens"
"Between Breaths (An XX Perspective)"
"Snuff On Digital"
"Bitter For Sweet"
"Where Would You Like Them Left?"
"The Fear Of Being Found"
"On A Friday"
"The Love Letter"
"Girls And Boys"
"Cities Of Night"
"Again, Again And Again"
"Wake Up, Open The Door And Escape To The Sea"
