The White Stripes continued their series of surprise shows as part of their cross-Canada tour when they played for about 100 kids attending a day camp at Toronto's Metro Central YMCA on Thursday afternoon.

The children, aged five to 12, took time out from making masks around 3:30 p.m. to sit on the floor to watch Jack and Meg White perform "Cannon," "Sugar Never Tasted So Good," "Apple Blossom," "We're Going To Be Friends," "Martyr For My Love For You" and "Hotel Yorba."

The youngsters obviously weren't as well-versed in Stripes material as the 16,000 people at the Molson Amphitheatre who saw the band later in the evening, as Jack invited some of them to the microphone to sing for their friends. One decided on kiddie classic "The Wheels On The Bus," while another tried his hand at R. Kelly's "I Believe I Can Fly."
