True North Signs Catherine MacLellan

True North Records has signed Prince Edward Island singer/songwriter Catherine MacLellan and will reissue her 2006 sophomore album, Church Bell Blues, on Sept. 11.
MacLellan is the daughter of songwriter Gene MacLellan, who penned the hits "Snowbird" and "Put Your Hand In The Hand." She began her music career shortly after her father's 1995 suicide and was a member of The New Drifts and Saddle River before releasing her Dark Dream Midnight solo debut in 2004. She's won six PEI Music Awards and has also earned East Coast Music Award nominations.
