Duran Duran Plan On Laying Out Red Carpet Massacre This Fall

Now more than two decades into their career, it would seem easy to believe that British band Duran Duran have walked down their share of red carpets. But the band's new album title suggests that they'll take no prisoners this time around.
Duran Duran have announced that their new studio album will be titled Red Carpet Massacre and be released this fall through Epic Records. According to the group's official website, they're in the studio putting the final touches on the record with producer Nate "Danja" Hills and engineer Jimmy Douglass. The band also worked with Timbaland and Justin Timberlake on some tracks.
Song titles include the title track, "Last Man Standing," "Box Full O'Honey," "The Valley," "Falling Down" (co-written with Timberlake) and "Skin Divers" (co-written with Timberlake and Timbaland and also featuring appearances by both artists). The album, which was recorded in New York City and London, is the band's first since 2004's Astronaut and their first since guitarist Andy Taylor left after reuniting with the original lineup.
Duran Duran played a small gig at New York City's Hammerstein Ballroom for fan club members last month. They appeared at the Concert For Diana in London, England on Sunday and will perform at the London portion of the Live Earth series of global concerts on Saturday. A North American tour is anticipated later this year in support of Red Carpet Massacre, but no dates have been confirmed.
