Kylie Hopes To Have White Diamond And New Album Out Soon

Kylie Minogue was working on her new album at this time last year and, despite some setbacks, the Australian star says she's closer to completing it.
"I am currently working in various studios, writing and recording my tenth album," Minogue wrote on her website earlier this month. "I have to say, it has been very disheartening to learn that a number of the demos and recorded tracks I have worked on so far were stolen then placed onto the internet.
"In any event, I am moving forward with the recording every day with the aim of making the best album I can. It is now over a year since I started making this album and the possibility that it might be finished with a release before Christmas is very exciting. (No promises though!)"
Minogue has reportedly worked with Scissor Sisters and 81-year-old jazz singer Blossom Dearie on the album, the first since her recovery from breast cancer.
Minogue has given fans a sneak peak of some of the new material that will be included in the upcoming William Baker-directed documentary, White Diamond. "I'm Hip" and "You Are There" are included on the soundtrack.
"I have to admit I was a little nervous to work on such a revealing project and I did pull the plug several times, but due to Willie's persistence it is now almost finished," Minogue wrote on her site last month.
Minogue postponed British concerts earlier this year after launching her Showgirl — Homecoming Tour in Australia late last year.
