The soundtrack for HBO documentary The Trials Of Darryl Hunt features everyone from indie rockers Clap Your Hands Say Yeah to G-Unit's Spider Loc, as well as exclusive tracks from Califone, Andrew Bird, Mark Kozelek and Portastatic.
The Trials Of Darryl Hunt documents the life of the man who was wrongly convicted for the murder of Deborah Sykes and spent almost 20 years in prison before he was proven innocent. The film premiered on HBO on April 26, will be in theatres this summer and will be released on DVD on Oct. 16.
Paul Brill wrote and performed the score for the film. Proceeds from sales of the soundtrack, which arrives in stores on Aug. 7, will go to the Darryl Hunt Project For Freedom And Justice to help people who've been wrongly convicted.
