KMFDM Get Wild And Chaotic With Tohuvabohu

The title of veteran industrial/techno band KMFDM's forthcoming Tohuvabohu album is an Old Testament word meaning "wild and chaotic," so that may give you an idea of what to expect from the Aug. 21 release.
The group's KMFDM Records and Metropolis Records will release the follow-up to 2005's Hau Ruck. Song titles include "Superpower," "Looking For Strange," "Saft Und Kraft," "Spit Or Swallow," "Bumaye," "Fait Accompli" and the title track. The band also covered a Spanish tune by Liaisons Dangereuses titled "Los Ninos Del Parque."
In a post on the KMFDM website earlier this year, they asked fans to call a phone number to express what the group meant to them.
"We're not looking for you to shout out existing KMFDM slogans or say acronyms for KMFDM," the message said. "Do something original instead. If you leave a good message we may end up using it on our new album."
The request resulted in hundreds of calls and the band having "tons of material to work from."
KMFDM, who celebrated their 23rd anniversary earlier this year, are currently reissuing their back catalogue with original album art, lyrics, liner notes and photos. The band released 1995's Nihil and 1996's Xtort in March and 1997's Symbols and 1999's Adios in May. They plan to tour behind Tohuvabohu, but no dates have been announced.
