Crowded House Are Back With New Album And Tour

Crowded House will play six Canadian cities in support of Time On Earth, their first new studio album since 1993's Together Alone.
The ATO/MapleMusic Recordings release, which will hit stores on July 10, was recorded at Roundhead Studios in Auckland, New Zealand, RAK Studios in London, England and Real World Studios in Bath, England. It was produced by Ethan Johns (Kings Of Leon, Ryan Adams) and Steve Lillywhite (U2, Morrissey). Johnny Marr plays guitar on first single "Don't Stop Now" and "Even A Child," which he co-wrote with the band's Neil Finn. "Don't Stop Now" can be previewed on the group's website.
Finn and the Dixie Chicks co-wrote "Silent House." The Chicks' version of the song appeared on their Grammy Award-winning Taking The Long Way album, while a different take is included on Time On Earth.
Crowded House formed in Melbourne, Australia in 1985 and released four studio albums and one best-of featuring such hits as "Don't Dream It's Over," "Something So Strong" and "Weather With You." They broke up in 1996.
The reformed lineup — comprised of group founders Finn (guitar, vocals) and Nick Seymour (bass), former member Mark Hart (keyboards, backing vocals) and new drummer Matt Sherrod (replacing Paul Hester, who committed suicide in 2005) — made their live debut at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival in April.
