Adam Franklin Shakes Toshack Highway For New Album

Former Swervedriver and Toshack Highway frontman/guitarist Adam Franklin will release Bolts Of Melody, his first album under his own name, on June 26.
Swervedriver were a big part of the '90s British shoegazing scene before breaking up at the end of the decade, and Franklin recorded six albums as Toshack Highway.
"The album is much more song/guitar driven, and to me Toshack is more this instrumental/keyboardy thing, so actually the Toshack name might re-appear at some point with music more in that original vein, but for the time being AF it is," Franklin posted on his website earlier this year.
Franklin will play Toronto's Reverb on June 7 as part of the North By Northeast Music Festival.
Franklin has also been working with Interpol drummer Sam Fogarino on a project called Setting Suns. They've posted two songs on their MySpace page and will start recording an EP in New York City in June in anticipation of a fall release. It will include a cover of The Kinks' "The Way Love Used To Be."
Here are the songs on Bolts Of Melody:
"Seize The Day"
"Sundown"
"Morning Rain"
"Song Of Solomon"
"Theme From LSD"
"Shining Somewhere"
"Birdsong" (Moonshiner version)
"Canvey Island Baby"
"Syd's Eyes"
"Walking In Heaven's Foothills"
"Birdsong"
"Morning Rain (Return)"
"Ramonesland"
