Neil Young Tribute Concert To Aid White Ribbon Campaign

A number of top Canadian singer/songwriters will pay tribute to one of the greatest of them all, Neil Young, at Tuesday night's North By Northeast White Ribbon Concert at Toronto's Phoenix Concert Theatre.
Luke Doucet, Justin Rutledge, Jill Barber, Ron Sexsmith, Jeremy Fisher, Ian Thornley, Emilie Claire Barlow, Melanie Doane, Kathryn Rose, Chris Brown and Barenaked Ladies' Jim Creeggan, Kevin Hearn and Tyler Stewart will all take part along with some unannounced surprise guests.
CBC Radio's Jian Ghomeshi will host the event, and the house band will feature Tim Bovaconti, Maury Lafoy, Don Kerr and Robbie Roth.
Eight previous White Ribbon Concerts have drawn 6,000 people and raised more than $150,000 for the White Ribbon Campaign, which is dedicated to ending violence against women. Tickets are $25 and available through Ticketmaster. All proceeds from ticket sales will go directly to the White Ribbon Campaign.
There's one other added bonus for the ninth annual concert: no Jeff Martin.
