Lindsay Lohan Arrested For DUI In Car Allegedly Containing Cocaine

While Amy Winehouse wins accolades and awards for her song about not going to rehab, Lindsay Lohan's stay in a treatment facility couldn't stop her from earning a court date after being arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
The singer/actress and two other people were in her 2005 Mercedes SL-65 when it crashed into a curb on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles around 5:30 a.m. on Saturday. It appeared that she had been speeding and a search of the car found a "usable amount" of a drug tentatively identified as cocaine, according to police.
Lohan was driven in another car to a hospital to be treated for minor injuries, while the two other people in the car weren't hurt.
This accident was Lohan's third in less than two years, though the other driver was found at fault in one. The other incident involved Lohan trying to evade a photographer in a van who had followed her from a restaurant. The photographer was arrested for investigation of assault with a deadly weapon, but prosecutors didn't charge him.
Lohan attended Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and entered the Wonderland Center rehabilitation clinic early this year at the suggestion of her therapist.
"It's so weird that I went to rehab," Lohan said in the May issue of Allure magazine. "I always said I would die before I went to rehab."
The 20-year-old celebrity's estranged father, Michael Lohan, blames her mother (and his ex-wife) for the Georgia Rule star's well-documented wild behaviour. He told the New York Post that he thinks both women should seek treatment.
"The writing was on the wall years ago, and when Lindsay was in Wonderland... give me a break. What kind of rehab facility lets people leave the grounds? They wanted the name Lindsay Lohan to stay there, they didn't want to help her. She needs a faith-based program."
