50 Cent Adds $400 Million To His Bank Account

50 Cent has delayed the release of Curtis from June 26 to Sept. 4, but he'll have enough money to keep himself in bulletproof vests over the summer until the album comes out.
The rapper has just become richer, as his 10-per cent ownership stake in Glaceau — the maker of Vitaminwater — has earned him an estimated $400 million U.S. after The Coca-Cola Company paid $4.1 billion in cash for the company on Friday. Glaceau markets and distributes a grape-flavoured energy drink inspired by the hip-hop star called Formula 50.
The entrepreneurial MC can currently be seen on television in a Vitaminwater commercial where he relieves an orchestra conductor of his duties, adds DJ Whoo Kid as a viola player and leads a symphonic version of "In Da Club."
Back on the new album front, Fiddy says he needs more time to complete it. Two singles have been released, but neither "Straight To The Bank" nor "Amusement Park" have made the impact of 50 Cent's past hits. The follow-up to 2005's The Massacre features production from Dr. Dre, Eminem and Timbaland. Guests contributing to the record include Eminem, Akon, Justin Timberlake, Mary J. Blige, Robin Thicke and Pussy Cat Doll Nicole Scherzinger.
