Now that R. Kelly is no longer trapped in the closet, the R&B star is set to Double Up.

That's the title of the singer's new album, which will be released on May 29 by Jive. The artist (real name Robert Sylvester Kelly) has gained as much attention for the various lawsuits and criminal charges brought against him as he has from his music in recent years, but he enlisted a number of big name collaborators to put his songs back in the forefront on the new record.

Kelly is joined by Swizz Beatz on "The Champ," Snoop Dogg on the title track, Nelly on "Tryin' To Get A Number," Chamillionaire on "Get Dirty," T.I. and T-Pain on "I'm A Flirt Remix," Usher on "Same Girl," Huey on "Hook It Up," Ludacris and Kid Rock on "Rock Star," and Keyshia Cole and Polow Da Don on "Best Friend." The album ends with "Rise Up," which was written in honour of victims of the recent Virginia Tech University shootings.

Kelly began his solo career in 1992 and he's sold more than 50 million copies of his previous 12 albums worldwide.
