Method Man Busted For Pot Possession

Rapper/actor Method Man's fondness for pot was well-documented in his 2001 film with Redman, How High, so it probably shouldn't be a huge surprise that he was arrested last week for allegedly having a bunch of bud in his car.
The Wu-Tang Clan MC's 2005 Lincoln was pulled over for having expired tabs at a toll booth at the entrance of the Battery Tunnel connecting Brooklyn to Manhattan on May 17. When he rolled down his window, authorities said they detected a strong marijuana odor and visible drug paraphernalia, including two blunts.
During a vehicle search, Method Man (real name Clifford Smith) reportedly admitted to having more drugs stashed under the driver's seat. Police said they discovered a total of 28 grams of herb, and Meth was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, criminal possession of marijuana, operating a motor vehicle under the influence and driving an uninspected motor vehicle. He was released on his own recognizance the next day.
Method Man is working on a new Wu-Tang Clan album titled 8 Diagrams and is featured on DJ Jazzy Jeff's new album, The Return Of The Magnificent.
