3 Inches Of Blood Fire Up The Blades With New Album

Vancouver heavy metal group 3 Inches Of Blood will release Fire Up The Blades on June 26 through Roadrunner Records.
The 13-track album is the band's first since 2004's Advance And Vanquish. It was originally set for an early May release, but was pushed back.
Fire Up The Blades was recorded at Vancouver's Mushroom and Armoury studios and produced by Slipknot's Joey Jordison. "The Goatrider's Horde" has been posted on the band's MySpace page.
"We've picked up the pace on some songs, so it's thrashier, with more double-kick, but also more laid-back rock songs," singer Jamie Hooper told ChartAttack in late January. "The fast songs are more pummelling than they used to be."
3 Inches Of Blood will tour the U.S. this summer as part of Ozzfest, and have a few headlining shows set for late May and late June. A record release gig will be held at Vancouver's Richard's On Richards on June 28.
The band, who toured with Cradle Of Filth and 69 Eyes earlier this year, will play with Lamb Of God, Hatebreed and Behemoth at Toronto's Kool Haus on Aug. 25.
