Police Release Hits Album To Coincide With Tour

Legendary rockers The Police will begin their global reunion tour with an exclusive fan club members-only warm-up show at Vancouver's General Motors Place on May 27, and follow it with the June 5 release of a self-titled hits collection.
The two-disc, 28-song A&M set will be joined in stores that day by remastered versions of Police guitarist Andy Summers and Robert Fripp's 1982 album, I Advance Masked, and Police drummer Stewart Copeland's 1985 release, The Rhythmatist. Singer/bassist Sting will have a book titled Lyrics By Sting — featuring more than 100 songs and commentary about the writing process — published by Dial Press on Oct. 23. Dial published his memoir, Broken Music, in 2003.
