10th Anniversary Of Jeff Buckley's Death Brings New Album And DVD

Jeff Buckley

Ten years after Jeff Buckley's drowning death, fans still want more from the singer/songwriter. To mark the anniversary of his untimely demise at age 30, Columbia/Legacy will release both a CD compilation and a DVD of the Amazing Grace documentary on May 22.

So Real: Songs From Jeff Buckley combines Buckley's most notable tracks from his sole studio album, Grace, as well as the posthumously released Sketches For My Sweetheart The Drunk collection and the Live At Sine-E EP. Buckley's previously unreleased cover of The Smiths' "I Know It's Over" from a 1995 radio broadcast and an alternate version of "So Real" recorded in Japan are also included.

Amazing Grace, an hour-long documentary released in 2004, looks at the son of singer/songwriter Tim Buckley's life as he climbs his way towards fame. The award-winning film features performance clips and interviews with Buckley's bandmates, family members and artists including Chris Cornell and Siouxsie Sioux.
