Graham Coxon To Rejoin Blur In Studio In August

Blur

Prodigal guitarist Graham Coxon will return to a studio with his former bandmates in Blur for the first time in five years in August, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the Brit.pop group are reforming.

Coxon quit the band during recording sessions for 2003's Think Tank album to pursue a solo career. That hasn't exactly made him a household name, so he's rebuilt formerly burned bridges with the boys from Blur and all of them are expected to spend a week in a London, England studio in August to try recording demos for a possible new album.

"We're gonna see if we've still got it," bassist Alex James said in a story carried by Dotmusic. "If not, I think we'll just call it a day."

James has written a book titled Bit Of A Blur that will be released in the U.K. in June. He describes it as the memoirs of "the second drunkest member of the drunkest band in Britain."
